September 2005 "1st Annual Job/Health Fair"

The community had a blast!!!
With over 50 businesses and organizations participating, free event tote bags filled with treats, souvenir t-shirts,
educational hand outs, job training information, and health/safety pamphlets were distributed. With sizable donations
from the California Wellness Foundation, the Department of Health, Go Hardd Incorporated, and WorkSource (Palmdale Office)
the financing of the event was made possible. The facility location accomodations were made possible by the City
of Palmdale and all food donations came from In-N-Out Burgers, See's Candies, Jamba Juice, and Krispy Creme Donuts. The
food was good, the fun was great, and we raised over $10,000 for the organization.

"A Community Affair" fundraiser event to promote jobs, health, family, and local businesses in the Antelope
Valley and to encourage community residents and community businesses to support each other for the economic betterment and
social health of our community. C.S.D.I., Inc. of Palmdale, California,
The CSDI Houses, Inc., and Community Self Determination Institute Charter School (CSDICS) will have recycling booths
available for the community to support our organization through the recycling of aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles,
and the recycling of cellphones, ink cartridges, and ipods. A canned food drive, clothing donations, book donations, and
toy drive will be sources of donations to help out those in need in our community. The "Change
for Change" coin donation and a booth for applying for a C.S.D.I., Inc. of Palmdale, California credit card will
be added fundraising tools to raise money for the continuance of our grant and scholarship program to deserving
California recipients working toward the furtherance of their social, health and economical benefit through
education and the attainment of a better quality of life. Free health checks
for blood pressure, heart rates, immunizations, dental and vision exams, physicals, and diabetes. Get information on
AIDS/HIV, STDs, eye diseases, cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease, healthy eating, exercising, diabetes, strokes, foster
care, adoption, prenatal care, literacy programs, child care, job opportunities, education, athletics, community politics,
and much more... Live entertainment from local artists and featured artists from
the Go Hardd Entertainment, LLC Independent record label will be performing. Raffles, food, entertainment, family, fun, and
much more.... Come join us for a fun-filled day of with the entire community.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY EVENTS
Job/Health/Education Fair
Come join us at Palmdale City Hall in the Poncitlan Square for our Annual Job/Health/Education Fair community events.
We will have live entertainment featuring local talent, music, food, games, and a raffle/prize giveaway session every hour.
It's a day of family, resources, and community ---BE THERE!!!
We are looking forward to partnering with our past sponsors and the new ones that will join us this year. Our volunteers
are flowing in and we expect to have a large community turnout. Vendors will be distributing information about
their organization and public information on health, safety, education, and JOBS! Discount coupons, free goods, and
souvenirs will be given away.
All community based corporations, independent food vendors, entreprenuers, and local businesses are welcome to participate
as sponsors or donors in addition to operating a vendor booth. For information on participation guidelines, please call

Various fundraisers and Community Events will be hosted each year at Palmdale City Hall Chimbole Center and The Poncitlan

Donations will be accepted at the Information Booth for our Grant/Scholarship funds.
Fundraiser sale of bottled water, marketing/promotional goods, and raffle tickets.
Event T-shirts will be available for a $10.00 donation ($5.00 for children and $12.00 for adult 2XL, and 3XL).
Bring aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles to donate at the recycling center, and most
of all---Bring the family!
